My background is in dance, Ayurvedic postpartum care, elemental yoga, herbalism & holistic midwifery studies. I love weaving my various skills & passions into my work with women & families. And that includes singing, deep earth connection, exploring dreams, cooking nourishing delicious foods & crafting botanical gifts for mothers.

My journey in birth work gently took shape when my oldest was a baby. We attended our first birth together, a beautiful homebirth, when she was 4 months old. Soon after I offered a workshop on herbs for the childbearing year, crafted pregnancy & lactation teas for a local teahouse, and offered my first preconception consultation. During pregnancy with my second, I started teaching prenatal & postnatal yoga.

In 2016, after birthing our next babe, I began studying Ayurvedic postpartum care while healing from postnatal depletion. Simultaneously I embarked on a year-long elemental yoga training that wove in Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Both of these trainings deepened my love for Ayurveda, which had sparked some years earlier when a dear friend made us kitchari all the time and actually made it for my birth team during our long first labor!

In 2017 I had the blessed opportunity to take the Matrona’s Holistic Birth Doula training in person with Whapio. I have taken multiple trainings with Whapio since and am continuously inspired by her teachings and her being. While pregnant with our third beloved in 2019, I met my dance teacher Michelle Dionne and started learning belly dance for healing & birth, a practice incredibly dear to me.

I am deeply grateful for this life & this sacred work. For the healing, connection, joy and Love I have been graced with. And for the sweet love of my Beloved & of our beautiful family that fuels my heart & my work. In ever deepening gratitude & reverence, I care for the sacred mother in each woman I serve.
